Human Power Generator
Two Ways to Power. One Machine. This is our only generator that can be cranked by hand, or pedaled by foot by simply switching the hand pegs for foot pedals. This option is great for exhibits to be wheelchair friendly. While most of the time, we install them with the hand pegs, we have also done them with foot pegs as well.
At the Los Angeles, CA Ikea, we have set up a Human Power Generator that allows customers to see for themselves how much more energy traditional incandescent light bulbs use. Ikea promotes their LED bulbs throughout their store, so they are wanting to teach their customers why LED is a better choice for the environment.
Our systems are featured in science centers and museums across the country, where visitors experience energy in action firsthand. Guests can light up the EcoGlow light comparison display to see efficiency differences in real time, or generate enough electricity to power blenders, TVs, hair dryers, and more. By turning everyday appliances into interactive exhibits, we transform abstract energy concepts into unforgettable, hands-on experiences that engage and educate audiences of all ages.
