Discovery Center Museum

Exelon used our Human Power Generators to built an Electricity room for the Discovery Center Museum in Rockfor, IL and it turned out so awesome!

When you enter the exhibit, there are two seats with the generators mounted to a baseplate on the floor, and the foot pedals are installed. As you pedal, the lights start to glow, and as you pedal harder, the higher lights turn on. Everyone loves a good strength competiton.

Then when you go further back in the room, there is a “Power It Up” house where you can choose which common home electronics you can power up. They have the generators installed with the hand pegs at this station. You can turn them by hand, so it’s a great option for wheelchair users.
