This interactive educational display is used around the world to teach what alternative energy is, and introduces Bernoulli's Principle, how a ball can be suspended in a column of air. As kids stand in front of the solar panel, the watts displayed beneath each light bulb will lower, ultimately demonstrating that when less solar power is available, the lights cannot stay fully lit.

This is our newest (of 2025) portable STEM experience. It’s small enough to fit in classrooms, or to be toted around to various outdoor locations. The solar panels easily fold up for storage.

Kids will love this solar powered portable STEM experience. When you plug the solar panel into this experimental box, you will see voltage coming in from the solar panel and the brighter the sun is, the higher the voltage is. When you see your shadow hit the panel, it will change how much electricity is coming into the experimental box. You’ll see the volts, amps, and watts for each one of the electrical loads: the LED bulb, CFL bulb, incandescent bulb and the Bernoulli Blower. The floating ping pong balls always seem to be the kid’s favorite part!

We wanted a science exhibit small enough that schools could use, and also still be super engaging for the students. Educators around the world can harness the power of the sun to teach their students about solar power and electricity.
